Deportation/Removal Defense - If you or a loved one is in removal proceedings, there may be relief. Depending on the circumstances, some of the possible options include Adjustment of Status, Asylum, Withholding of Removal, Protection Under the Convention Against Torture (CAT), Cancellation of Removal (non-LPR, LPR & VAWA), Deferred Action, Administrative Closure and Prosecutorial Discretion. Each case is different and eligibility for relief depends on many different factors, such as criminal and/or immigration history. If there is no relief available, Voluntary Departure allows a person 60-120 days to tie up loose ends, like closing bank accounts, and he or she will not be barred from entering the U.S. in the future. I can help you and your loved one determine the type of relief that's available, and will do everything legally possible to fight the deportation and win the case, even if there is a prior removal order.
Detention & Bond – If a loved one has been detained by ICE, it is an extremely stressful time for the detainee's family and friends. I have experience representing detained clients and I offer in-person consultations to persons detained at Northwest Detention Center (NWDC). Each case is different, but in many instances, I can help secure release on bond and win their case.
